An 11-foot alligator attacked and killed Gloria Serge, an 85-year-old woman, on Monday when she was walking her tiny dog by a retention pond in a 55+ neighbourhood close to Fort Pierce, Florida. The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) and the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office responded as soon as witnesses dialled 911. To deal with the alligator responsible for the incident, a nuisance alligator trapper was sent to St. Lucie County.
