A 55-year-old football supporter died after sustaining a serious head injury during an altercation between Blackpool and Burnley fans.
The suspect, Blackpool supporter Tony Johnson, was taken to the hospital in critical condition after the assault at 7:00 on Saturday night.
In response to reports of 15 men fighting outside The Manchester bar on the Blackpool seafront following the 0-0 draw between the two clubs at Bloomfield Street, police were called.
Mr. Johnson, a resident of Blackpool, passed away on Monday, Viral Video to Lancashire Police.
A number of football fans reportedly got into a fight, and Mr. Johnson was hurt as a result, according to Lancashire Police. He doesn’t appear to have been specifically named, at least not yet.
